Meteorological Forecasting Division says light rain possible as effect of westerly wind

The influence of westerly wind is very likely to bring light rain in various parts of the country today.
The weather is partly to generally cloudy throughout the country with chances of light rain and/or thunder and lightning at few places of the hilly regions and chances of light snowfall at few places of the high mountainous region.
Similarly, the weather tonight will be partly to generally cloudy in Province 1, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province, and mainly fair in rest of the country.
There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at few places of hilly region of Province 1, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province and chances of light snowfall at few places of the high mountainous region.
Meteorologist Ganga Nagarkoti was quoted in Rastriya Samachar Samiti as saying that the westerly wind's influence will last till tonight but there will be another influence of local wind starting Sunday.
The Division updated today's temperature -- Kathmandu recorded a minimum temperature of 13.2 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature of 28.0 degrees Celsius. Similarly, Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 2.2 degrees Celsius, Dadeldhura recorded 9.3 and Taplejung and Dipayal recorded 11 degrees Celsius each.
