114 new cases of Covid-19 registered on Tuesday; tally shifts to 275,424

Nepal on Tuesday reported 114 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 275,424.
In the last 24 hours, 34 cases surfaced in Kathmandu district, Lalitpur reported seven cases, whereas two new case was reported from Bhaktapur. Among all the districts, Kathmandu holds the highest number of infections in the country.
Likewise, 94 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.
As of today, 271,495 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.6 per cent.
Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 915.
The nationwide death-toll remains 3,014 with zero Covid-related fatalities reported today.
According to the health ministry, 2,790 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,221,512 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.
Currently, there are 51 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Monday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 275,310 with 79 newly confirmed cases.
Globally, over 120 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.6 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19. Likewise, over 97 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 20 million cases are still active.
