Nepal on Thursday reported 107 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 275,625.

In the last 24 hours, 44 cases surfaced in Kathmandu district, Lalitpur reported eight cases, while seven new cases were reported from Bhaktapur. Among all the districts, Kathmandu holds the highest number of infections in the country.

Likewise, 60 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry. As of today, 271,610 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.5 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 1,000.

The nationwide death-toll has reached 3,015 with one Covid-related fatality reported today.

According to the health ministry, 3,254 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,227,547 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 52 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Wednesday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 275,518 with 94 newly confirmed cases.

Globally, over 121 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.6 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19. Likewise, over 97 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 20 million cases are still active.
