Market monitoring ramped up in Damauli

DAMAULI, MARCH 22

A market monitoring team led by District Administration Office, Tanahun monitored the shops at Damauli bazaar and Suklagandaki Municipality on Monday. The team has closed an illegally operated industry during the inspection.

The market monitoring team closed New Jhalak Dalmoth Industry that had been producing different materials without taking permission from the authority concerned. The team said the industry was closed after it packed Dalmoth and sweets illegally.

A team led by Assistant Chief District Officer Chitrangat Baral carried out the market monitoring after the consumers complained about the substandard goods. Baral said the customers had complained about the low quality materials produced in the industry.

The market monitoring team seized cooking oil, ghee, sweet, among other inedible and substandard materials from the industry.

The team said some of the owners did not keep the signboard, lebelling, among others.

Food Technology and Quality Control Division Office, Damauli Food Inspector Prashant Pokhrel said the industry owners were found negligent while operating the industry.

He said the owners of the closed industry had been directed to accomplish the procedural law within fifteen days and bills had to be produced in District Administration Office within a week.
