LAMJUNG: Service seekers have been put to trouble as nearly a dozen of office posts lay vacant at the District Land Revenue Office, Lamjung. The Office, which remains crowded most of the times, has been running without a Land Revenue Officer and a Special Officer. Likewise, seven non-gazetted posts and two posts of office helpers have remained vacant for a while now. The office has been running without a revenue officer after Dandapani Bhusal was transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture three months back. Laxmi Bahadur KC, a section officer has been taking the responsibility of an acting-chief since then. Adding to the woes, however, KC has been transferred too. The other posts lay vacant due to some similar reasons. Since the head of the office is yet to be appointed, Suran Prasad Sharma Poudel, a non-gazetted first class employee, now heads the office. However, the service seekers are deprived of quick service delivery due to human resource crunch. Poudel, who is also working as the head of the office, said that both the employees and the service seekers were troubled. Nearly 60 to 70 service seekers visit the office daily for various purposes. The employees too had complains of not getting time even for lunch as few men had to take many responsibilities. Poudel maintained that Land Revenue and Management Department, Kathmandu, had been informed about the problem but it does not seem to be solved soon.
