145 new Covid-19 cases take nationwide tally to 276,389 on Wednesday

Nepal on Wednesday reported 145 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 276,389.
In the last 24 hours, 53 cases have surfaced in Kathmandu district. This is the highest district-wise number in the country, Kaski holds second highest number of cases with 26 infections recorded today.
Likewise, 90 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.
As of today, 272,187 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection.
The recovery rate, as such, is 98.5 per cent.
Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 1,182.
The nationwide death-toll stands at 3,020 with one Covid-related fatality reported today.
According to the health ministry, 3,963 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,248,993 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.
Currently, there are 52 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Tuesday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 276,244 with 188 newly confirmed cases.
Globally, over 124 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.7 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19.
Likewise, over 100 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
