Nepal on Thursday reported 120 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 276,509.

In the last 24 hours, 41 cases have surfaced in Kathmandu district. Similarly, Lalitpur reported five cases, while 19 new cases were reported from Bhaktapur.

Likewise, 85 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.

As of today, 272,272 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.5 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 1,217.

The nationwide death-toll stands at 3,020 with one Covid-related fatality reported today.

According to the health ministry, 2,891 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,251,884 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 55 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Wednesday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 276,389 with 145 newly confirmed cases.

Globally, over 125 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.7 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19.Likewise, over 101 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
