141 new cases of Covid-19 registered on Monday; total infection count stands at 276,980

Nepal on Monday reported 141 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 276,980.
In the last 24 hours, 50 cases have surfaced in Kathmandu district. Similarly, Lalitpur reported seven cases, while one new case was reported from Bhaktapur. Kathmandu holds the highest number of cases in the country.
Kaski holds second highest number of cases with 29 new infections recorded today. Kailali is third in line with 10 new infections recorded today.
Likewise, 82 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.
As of today, 272,612 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.4 per cent.
Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 1,341.
The nationwide death-toll remains 3,027 with no Covid-related fatalities reported today.
According to the health ministry, 3,122 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,264,268 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.
Currently, there are 56 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Sunday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 276,839 with 89 newly confirmed cases.
Globally, over 127 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.7 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19.
Likewise, over 103 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
