Butwal Lumbini unveil squad for NSL

Butwal Lumbini Football Club today announced the three foreign players in their squad for the upcoming Nepal Super League.
Butwal Lumbini, who have signed national team member Bishal Shrestha as the marquee player, had bought the likes of Rabin Shrestha, Seshang Angdangbe, Suraj BK, Amir Shrestha and Aashish Lama among others, have brought one each player from Nigeria, Ghana and Tchad.
'We have signed two midfielders - Omolaja Nurain Mareem from Nigeria and William Opoku Asiedu from Ghana - and forward Armand Beadoum from Tchad to strengthen our squad,' said General Manager Raju Kaji Shakya. 'With the arrival of these three players, the team will definitely be one of the title contenders,' he added.
The former national team coach Shakya said two of them had the experience of playing in the Indian League and one had come to Nepal to play for Chyasal Youth Club last year.
'I believe they know about Nepali football. And they should gel up with local players as football is a team game and each members need to contribute to bring desired results,' he added.
Butwal Lumbini FC President Raj Kumar Timalsina said the management was not in mood to compromise in any aspect. 'We are title contenders and we will leave any stone unturned to win the championship,' he said.
Timalsina said they would pick two local players in due course to complete the squad.
Marquee player Bishal Shrestha said his side was balanced one with the combination of young and experienced players. 'We know we have short period to prepare for the tournament but we will give our 100 per cent to become the champions,' he said.
Butwal Lumbini FC have signed Sanoj Shrestha and Ujjwal Manandhar as head coach and goalkeeping coach respectively.
A total of seven franchise teams are taking part in the tournament organised by Nepal Sports and Event Management.
