Nepal COVID-19 Update: 266 new cases, 102 recoveries and four fatalities recorded on Monday

KATHMANDU, APRIL 5

Nepal's Health Ministry shared the latest updates on coronavirus contagion from across the country.

Till date, 2,289,824 tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method have been carried out wherein 4,536 tests were performed in the last 24 hours.

At present, there are 64 people under quarantine in various facilities across the country. The number of active cases in Nepal is 1,832.

266 new cases of the coronavirus infection were registered today taking the national tally to 278,210.

As many as 102 persons earlier diagnosed with the disease have tested negative in the last 24 hours. With the recent addition, the national COVID-19 recovery tally has now reached 273,342.

Meanwhile, four fatality was confirmed by the Ministry today, with which the country's COVID-19 death toll has reached to 3,036.

As of today, the country has witnessed 278,210 cases of the coronavirus infection while 273,342 people have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 3,036 COVID-19 fatalities have been confirmed.
