Shortage of hospital-beds in 22 districts: Health Ministry
MoHP appeals to all to act sensibly and strictly follow health guidelines

The Ministry of Health and Population on Thursday said that it has now become next to impossible for hospitals to provide beds for treatment in 22 districts that are hardest hit by the new wave of Covid-19.
According to the notice issued by the health ministry, Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Parsa, Bara, Dhanusha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makawanpur, Kavrepalanchowk, Kaski, Dang, Banke, Rupandehi, Palpa, Bardiya, Kapilvastu, Surkhet, Kailali and Kanchanpur districts are struggling owing to a sharp spike in active cases following which hospital in these districts can no longer withstand the influx of patients for treatment.
The health infrastructure of the country is unlike to sustain the frightening rate of Covid-19 infection, as such, MoHP has urged all people to be sensitive towards this pandemic and follow health guidelines strictly-- including wearing a mask, maintaining physical distance and washing hands with soap from time to time.
Similarly, the ministry also urged everyone to stop all forms of travel, domestic tourism, roaming around in public places and avoid any programme that could lead to a crowd.
