The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that up to 11,000 people will be infected in a single day by the end of May if cases keep increasing at the rate they are increasing now.

"The number of infections could reach 600,000 by July 15 if people do not follow health protocols," said Krishna Prasad Paudel, director at Epidemiology and Disease Control Division.

Addressing a press conference here today, Minister of Health and Population Hridayesh Tripathi said he had directed the Department of Health Services to arrange 2,000 isolation beds for coronavirus patients.
