Prohibitory orders to come into force in Kavrepalanchok from Sunday midnight

KATHMANDU, MAY 1
District Administration Office of Kavrepalanchowk has decided to impose prohibitory orders in the district for a week starting Sunday, May 2 midnight, owing to the rapid spread of Covid-19 across the country.
The order restricts movement of people except for medical purposes, to buy groceries, or for other essential purpose.
Only government offices, banks and other financial institutions including can operate during this period by allowing operation of emergency services only with approval from concerned authorities.
The employees of aforementioned offices will need a pass from their respective offices in order to travel in their private vehicles.
Operation of public as well as private vehicles in has been restricted in the areas under prohibition.
The DAO has restricted movement in the area occupying 500 metres to the right and left direction of Araniko Highway from Sanga-Banepa Bazaar-Dhulikhel-Paanchkhal Bazaar area; 500 metres right and left of Banepa Teendobato to Nala Bhagwati road; 500 metres right and left of Banepa-Panauti-Khopasi road; 200 metres right and left of BP Highway from Dhulikhel Chowk to Kavrebhanjyang-Bhakundebesi-Mangaltar; and 200 metres right and left of Zerkilo of Paanchkhal Municipality to Kuntabesi.
Emergency services vehicles such as ambulance, drinking water supply, telecommunication, bank and financial institution, internet, food, vegetables, milk and diary products, waste management vehicles, courier services are allowed to travel.
Similarly, vehicles transporting material for developmental activities have also been allowed to operate by district authorities from 21:00 till 5:00 in the morning.
