Meanwhile, parliamentarians belonging to the Madhav Kumar Nepal group gave today's attendance a miss.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari called a session of the Lower House of the federal parliament for today for the purpose of deciding on the vote of confidence to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Earlier, UML leader Bhim Bahadur Rawal had stated that the meeting of their group convened at Singha Durbar took the decision not to vote in favour of PM Oli.
The group concluded that they could not cast vote of confidence for the PM for he had dissolved the HoR by bypassing the constitution, sought to divide the political parties and promoted corruption in the country. Leader Rawal further shared that the meeting concluded that PM's action such as appointment in the constitutional bodies through introduction of ordinances on the eve of the seeking vote of confidence has weakened democracy.
