KATHMANDU, MAY 15

The Zonta Club of Kathmandu donated four oxygen concentrators to Paropakar Maternity and Women's Hospital (Prasuti Griha) in Thapathali on May 13.

Keeping in mind the surge in COVID-19 cases that has resulted in a shortage of oxygen in hospitals, the Club handed over the concentrators to Dr Kirtipal Subedi, Head Covid Wing Incharge at the hospital.

'This is one of many initiatives that Zonta has taken in the fight against COVID-19, along with distribution of food packets, PPE sets, and new-born baby kits around Kathmandu and Lalitpur during the first lockdown in April 2020,' reads a press statement issued by the Club.

Seema Golchha, President of Zonta Club of Kathmandu, said in the statement, 'With the mission of working towards the betterment of women and children, we hope that this support helps those in need.'
