The government has decided to bring 400 empty oxygen cylinders from China through air on May 10.
According to the press advisor of Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokhrel, Ganesh Pandey, a meeting of the Covid -19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) held Friday under the chair of its coordinator and DPM Ishwar Pokhrel had decided to bring 400 cylinders, out of 20,000, in the first phase, from the northern neighbour.
Nepal Airlines Corporation's wide body aircraft will be leaving for China on May 10 for the same.
The Government of China has, at the call of the government, decided to provide 20,000 empty oxygen cylinders to Nepal when the country is struggling with a massive spread of Covid-19.
Of the agreed assistance, 2,000 cylinders will be brought by planes and remaining 18,000 will be brought via land route, it is said.
