Two killed, four injured in Jagadamba steel industry fire in Bara

Two persons died while four others sustained injuries after an explosion caused a fire at Jagadamba Steel Industry in Jitpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City-2 on Saturday night.
The deceased have been identified as Pradeep Gaun (40) and Ram Nath Mahato (45), both hailing from the Indian state of Bihar, informed police.
According to police, a furnace oil tank inside the premise of the industry exploded when the workers were wielding the tank on Saturday night. The fire caused by the explosion killed two workers on the sport while injured four other workers Rajkumar BK, Indra Prasad Adhikari, Nawaraj Chaulagain, and Awadhesh Kushawa.
The injured were rushed to Simara-based Tarai Simara Hospital for treatment. They were later referred to Birgunj-based Vayodha Hospital for further treatment. Among the injured, Rajkumar BK is reported to be in critical condition.
The fire was doused with the help of two fire engines deployed by Jitpursimara Sub-Metropolis and Birgunj Metropolis, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Gautam Mishra.
