Nepse plunges further by 71.06 points today; all sub-indices continues to record loss

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index plunged another 71.06 points on the second trading day of the week, closing at 2,834.41 a 2.45 per cent plunge, on Monday.
Nepse, which had been recording loss following the enlistment of 51 companies by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) last Tuesday citing that the share values of these companies were overvalued due to 'irregular practices', had also recorded a loss of 63.11 points on Sunday.
The country's sole secondary market again saw all three indices -- benchmark index, sensitive index and float index -- in red today.
The sensitive index dived down by 8.37 points to 520.18 points. Similarly, the float index that gauges the performance of shares actually traded also dipped 5.24 points to 195.68 points.
Furthermore, all the sub-indices continued to record loss today again with the Life insurance index and Non-life insurance indices leading the pack of losers with 451.11 and 429.63 points loss respectively
A total of 22,522,491 units of shares of altogether 227 companies were traded at Rs 11.619 billion in the market today. After the share transaction, market capitalisation stood at Rs 3.937 trillion.
In today's market hydropower companies and finance companies stood at the forefront of those that lost the most.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) was the top company regarding turnover and transactions in today's market.
