4million+ Nepalis vaccinated; active caseload wavering at 25952

Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 665,886 on Saturday with 1,310 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 630,407 with 2,164 discharges logged today.

On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 9,527 with 21 more fatalities.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 10,066 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 6,858 were PCR tests while 3,208 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,463,057 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 565 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 1,875.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 94.7 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 25,952.

The capital recorded as many as 299 infections today while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur recorded 77 and 52 respectively.

So far, a total of 4,039,720 people have received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 2,912,850 have received the first dose while only 1,126,870 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.

Currently, there are 337 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Friday, Nepal's coronavirus case count had reached 664,576 with 2,006 more people testing positive for the infection.

Globally, over 190 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4 million people have lost their lives to the disease.

Likewise, over 173 million people have recovered while more than 12 million cases are still active.
