Bishwa Paudel appointed as new vice chair of National Planning Commission

KATHMANDU, JULY 27

Economic expert Bishwa Poudel has been appointed as the new vice chairperson of the National Planning Commission (NPC).

NPC is the apex advisory body of the Government of Nepal for formulating a national vision, periodic plans and policies for development.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today decided to assign Paudel with the responsibility.

Likewise, the cabinet also decided to appoint Raj Kumar Phuyal and Dil Bahadur Gurung among the eight serving members at the NPC.

Earlier, Paudel had served as one of the members of the Planning Commission in the then Deuba-government.
