KATHMANDU: Timex wrist watches are now available at n select outlets of capital city Kathmandu. Him Electronics Pvt Ltd, a member of the Golcha organization, introduced the international brand in the market today. Timex, a US brand founded in 1854, has been operating seven production plants. It designs, manufactures and markets innovative timepieces and jewellery around the globe. The Timex Group, one of the largest watchmakers, markets global brands like Versace, Valentino, Salvatore, Ferragamo, Guess, GC and others. Him Electronics believes the Timex brand will capture the market. 'It will soon be a fashion symbol in Nepal,' said managing director Shekhar Golcha. Timex watches are now available in outlets of Him Electronics located in United World Trade Center (UWTC), NLIC City Center and Kathmandu Mall. 'We will open a single brand outlet for Timex soon,' he added. Timex Group India Ltd vice-president V D Vadhwa believes Timex brand will become popular in the Nepali market 'The tradition of Timex and credibility of Him Electronics here will help Timex become a frontrunner,' he said. Formal, fashion, chronograph, retrograde, expedition, sports and outdoor series of Timex wrist watches are available in the market, said Golchha. Timex watches cost from Rs 1,800 to 30,000 with a two-year warranty.
