438 new cases of Covid-19 surface on Saturday, active caseload stands at 10559

Nepal recorded 438 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 808,534, while the death toll climbed to 11,345 with eight fatalities today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 786,630 with 817 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 6,931 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 4,972 were PCR tests while 1,959 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,362,451 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 75 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 513.
The highest numbers of infections were recorded in the capital with 150 cases today, while Lalitpur is second in line with 39 cases and Rupandehi third with 32 cases.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.3 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 10,559.
Currently, there are 222 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
Globally, over 243 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.9 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 220 million people have recovered while more than 17 million cases are still active.
