Nepal records 297 fresh COVID-19 cases, 11 fatalities on Saturday

KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 30

Nepal recorded 297 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 812,194, while the death toll climbed to 11,399 with 11 fatalities today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 791,269 with 911 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 7,911 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 5,316 were PCR tests while 2,595 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,415,043 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 75 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 372.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.4%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 9,526.

Currently, there are 212 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Friday, Nepal had recorded 490 cases of coronavirus while six more succumbed to the infection during the same time.
