Three alpinists missing in avalanche near Amadablam identified

Identities of three French alpinists that had gone missing in an avalanche near Amadablam have been revealed on Sunday.
According to sources, the missing climbers include Thomas Arfi, Gabriel Miloche and Louis Pachoud.
Earlier, on Saturday the French alpinists who were reportedly attempting to climb a 6,000-metre peak in the Mt Everest region had gone missing in an avalanche, sources at the Khumbu region had confirmed.

According to Ang Norbu Sherpa, President at Nepal National Mountain Guides Association, record-holding mountain guides including Mingma Gyalje Sherpa, Vinayak J Malla, Ang Dawa Sherpa, Tshering Pemba Sherpa and Pemba Gyalzen Sherpa have been mobilised to carry out the mission, who have already reached Lukla.
Similarly, a number of aerial searches have also been conducted by Kailash helicopter to locate the incident site.
