Nepal records 441 fresh COVID-19 cases, nine fatalities on Monday

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 1

Nepal recorded 441 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 813,011, while the death toll climbed to 11,416 with nine fatalities today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 792,277 with 490 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 11,664 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,468 were PCR tests while 4,196 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,428,242 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 92 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 533.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.4%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 9,318.

Currently, there are 118 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Sunday, Nepal had recorded 376 cases of coronavirus while eight more succumbed to the infection during the same time.
