Nepal records 422 fresh COVID-19 cases, 11 fatalities on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 1
Nepal recorded 422 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 813,433, while the death toll climbed to 11,427 with 11 fatalities today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 792,832 with 555 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 10,287 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,115 were PCR tests while 3,172 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,435,357 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 47 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 469.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.5%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 9,174.
Currently, there are 120 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Monday, Nepal had recorded 441 cases of coronavirus while nine more succumbed to the infection during the same time.
