Nepal records 339 fresh COVID-19 cases, four fatalities on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 16
Nepal recorded 339 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 817,672 while the death toll climbed to 11,482 with four fatalities today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 798,714 with 170 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 9,149 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 6,505 were PCR tests while 2,644 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,520,580 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 38 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 377.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,476.
Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Monday, Nepal had witnessed 367 cases of the coronavirus infection while one person succumbed to the disease in the same period.
