KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 05

Nepal recorded 128 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 814,417 while the death toll climbed to 11,439 with one fatality today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 794,834 with 649 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 3,932 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 2,134 were PCR tests while 1,798 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,449,634 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 11 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 139.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.6%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 8,144.

Currently, there are 115 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Friday, Nepal had recorded 174 cases of the COVID-19 infection while two more succumbed to the disease in the same time.
