Nepal records 243 fresh COVID-19 cases, one fatality on Monday

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 29
Nepal recorded 243 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 821,121 while the death toll climbed to 11,524 with one fatality today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 802,653 with 264 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 9,8888 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,231 were PCR tests while 2,657 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,618,231 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 16 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 259.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 6,944.
Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Monday, Nepal had witnessed 154 cases of the coronavirus infection while two persons succumbed to the disease in the same period.
