KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 21

Nepal recorded 232 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 819,019 while the death toll climbed to 11,496 with one fatality today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 800,359 with 370 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 7,123 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,845 were PCR tests while 1,278 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,558,316 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed six positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 232.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,164.

Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Saturday, Nepal had witnessed 209 cases of the coronavirus infection while one person succumbed to the disease in the same period.
