Nepal records 238 fresh COVID-19 cases, two fatalities on Monday

Nepal recorded 238 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 822,830 while the death toll climbed to 11,543 fatalities today. Meanwhile, two fatalties were reported on Monday.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 804,901 with 357 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 8,617 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,114 were PCR tests while 1,503 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,669,794 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 27 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 265.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 6,386.
Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Sunday, Nepal had witnessed 200 cases of the coronavirus infection. Meanwhile, one person had succumbed to the disease in the same period.
