Pillion rider killed

A critically injured pillion rider died in the course of treatment in Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pokhara, on Friday night.
She had met with an accident while riding pillion on a scooter. Nisha Thapa was critically injured after the scooter met with an accident in Suklagandaki Municipality, Tanahun, on December 8.
Police said the scooter rider lost control after the rear tyre went flat while was heading towards Khairenitar from Akala.
The scooter rider Ram Bahadur Nepali, 47, of Pokhara Metropolitan city received minor injuries while Nisha received deep cut on her head, said police. Further investigation into the accident is under way, said police.
