Nepal records 251 fresh COVID-19 cases, one fatality on Monday

Nepal recorded 251 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 827,522 while the death toll climbed to 11,586 fatalities today. Meanwhile, one fatality was reported on Monday.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 811,005 with 225 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 10,886 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 9,157 were PCR tests while 1,729 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,829,687 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 20 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 271.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 4,931.
Currently, there are 97 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
