KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 05

Nepal recorded 200 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 822,592 while the death toll climbed to 11,541 fatalities today. Meanwhile, one fatality was reported on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 804,544 with 436 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 10,747 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,995 were PCR tests while 2,752 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,662,680 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 5 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 205.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 6,507.

Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Saturday, Nepal had witnessed 220 cases of the coronavirus infection while five persons had succumbed to the disease during the same period.
