KATHMANDU, January 23

Chairperson of CPN-UML and Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has tested positive for Covid-19.

The UML chair had taken an antigen test on Saturday in which he was diagnosed positive for the infection. A PCR test was conducted following the RDT, which confirmed that Oli had indeed contracted Covid-19.

His wife Radhika Shakya too has tested positive. The couple are currently in isolation at their residence in Balkot.

A press-interaction that was scheduled for today, in which Oli would present the party's views on the current political situation of the country, has, as such, been stalled.

It is expected that Oli will make the same public through a press statement.
