KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 1
In addition to the earlier contribution to support the Government of Nepal in its fight against COVID-19, the Government of Israel has dispatched over half a million syringes in a bid to support immunisation efforts.
The syringes will be used for COVID vaccines to vaccinate the communities in Nepal.
The consignment of 563,000 syringes arrived via air freight today. Ambassador of Israel to Nepal Hanan Goder handed over the syringes to the representatives of the Ministry of Health and Population. Ambassador Goder said, 'This is a part of the international struggle against the pandemic. Israel is proud to cooperate with Nepal in this struggle.'
It is a matter of happiness to share humanitarian aid with the people of Nepal as an act of solidarity between our two nations, said the embassy.
The Government of Israel has been supporting Nepal in its effort to fight COVID-19 for the past two years.
