Nepal records 1714 fresh COVID-19 cases, nine fatalities on Saturday
The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 1,714.

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal climbed to 52,780 on Saturday as 1,103 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.
The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 965,222 while the death toll reached 11,803 as nine fatalities were recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 900,639 with 4,771 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 8,513 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 5,225 were PCR tests while 3,288 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 5,263,830 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 611 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 1,714.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 93.3%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.3%.
Currently, there are 131 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
