KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 04

Nepal recorded 220 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 822,392 while the death toll climbed to 11,540 fatalities today. Meanwhile, five fatalties were reported on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 804,108 with 392 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 6,797 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 5,295 were PCR tests while 1,502 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,654,685 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 18 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 238.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 6,744.

Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Friday, Nepal had witnessed 223 cases of the coronavirus infection.
