Nepal records 350 COVID-19 cases, four fatalities on Saturday

The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 350.

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 19

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal climbed to 13,357 on Saturday as 198 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 975,330 while the death toll reached 11,917 as four fatalities were recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 950,056 with 1,272 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 7,096 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 3,538 were PCR tests while 3,558 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 5,373,202 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 152 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 350.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.4%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are 106 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
