Sherpa Support Foundation supports school children

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 25

Sherpa Support Foundation has distributed over one thousand bags to school children in remote areas of Solukhumbu district.

Foundation Chairman Pasang Sherpa Pinasa shared that 1,010 bags were provided to children in 18 schools in villages of Mapya Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality from 18th till 25th of February 2022.

It took 4 days of driving and 3 days of trekking to reach the places in remote hilly villages of Solukhumbu, Sherpa shared.

The programme aimed to inspire children to motivate towards better education and help poor students in local villages.

This is the first time bags were distributed in the region by a social organization, it was shared.

Sherpa told that pandemic has caused schools to remain closed partially for two years and students have almost forgot to go schools; hence to support them, foundation decided to distribute the bags.
