Case registered against actor Paul Shah

The Public Prosecutor's Office has registered a case against actor Paul Shah on the charge of raping a minor.
Tanahun District Police Office completed the investigation and submitted its report along with opinion to the Public Prosecutor's Office yesterday. District Attorney Ram Chandra Sharma said a case had been registered against Shah demanding imprisonment of up to 12 years, along with reasonable compensation to the survivor.
He also said that half of the sentence was demanded against Krishna Joshi, who is reported to be Shah's manager, as an accomplice in the offence.
Shah had surrendered to the police on February 27 after a minor lodged a complaint against him.
A similar case has been registered against Shah in Nawalpur District Court as well. A case was filed against Shah in Nawalpur, claiming that he had committed an offence under sections 219 (1) and (2) of the Criminal Code.
The minor girl had lodged a complaint claiming that she was raped at a resort.
