Nepal fall 6-runs short of win against PNG despite setting all-time high ODI score

KATHMANDU, MARCH 25

Nepal lost the One Day International (ODI) match against Papua New Guinea (PNG) by six runs on Friday.

In the ODI held at the Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University International Cricket stadium today, Nepal fell short by six runs while chasing a target of 293 runs set by PNG.

Nepal managed to pull 283 runs in their 50 overs at the loss of 8 wickets, which is the all time highest ODI innings score made by Nepal.

Earlier, Nepal had secured a victory against UAE by making 255 runs on January 28, 2019.

Rohit Kumar Paudel's heroics went in vain as the Nepali batsman made 126 runs off 107 deliveries, which is all time highest individual ODI score made by any Nepali batsman.

Charles Amini of PNG made the most 77 runs off 103 deliveries to take his team over the line.

Nepal will yet again lock horns with PNG at the same venue on Saturday.
