SIRAHA, APRIL 1

A hospital came into operation in Siraha's Dhangadimai Municipality from today with the view to providing natural therapies to patients.

Set up in Dhangadimai Municipality-10, the natural therapy hospital was inaugurated by Dhangadimai Municipality Mayor Hari Narayan Chaudhary.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Chaudhary said the hospital was brought into operation with the view to serving the people. 'We hope the hospital will be popular among people who would want to get natural therapies, a complementary and alternative treatment method,' he said, adding naturopathy could be effective for patients suffering from various health problems and diseases such as asthma, diabetes and thyroid.

'The hospital uses natural therapies such as yoga, dieting, massage, acupressure and the likes, and most importantly, such treatment is cheaper than its counterpart allopathic approach,' he said.

At the programme, Mayor Chaudhary felicitated various persons who had contributed to establish the hospital. 'During the election campaign, I had promised that I would build a hospital. Now that this hospital has come into operation, I'm happy that my promise has been fulfilled,' he said.

Deputy Mayor of Dhangadhimai Municipality Phul Kumari Shrestha, Chief Administrative Officer Gopal Prasad Bagale, Municipality Spokesperson Prakash Yonjan and the hospital doctors Elisa Kafle and others were present at the inauguration today.
