'Facilitate tourists'

KATHMANDU, APRIL 19

Tourism entrepreneurs have drawn the government's attention to the need to facilitate the arrival of foreign tourists.

They expressed concern that the notice issued by the Immigration Department would inconvenience and hassle service delivery to tourists. Issuing a joint press statement on Monday, tourism associations argued that it would earn negative image for the country in the international arena.

So, the government has been urged to immediately manage convenience for foreign tourists.

The Immigration Department had issued notice that foreign tourists had to bring Dollars physically for on-arrival visa, reasoning that ATM Lounge at Tribhuvan International Airport was not functional. - RSS
