UML, NC, CPN-MC win two local levels each

Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and CPN-MC have won the local level election in two local levels each among 88 local levels in Sudurpaschim.
Chairman candidate Indra Karki and vice-chair candidate Gyanu Sethi from Nepali Congress have won the election in Ganyapdhura Rural Municipality, Dadeldhura.
The rural municipality is the home rural municipality of the Prime Minister and NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The newly elected Karki received 3,184 votes while his nearest rival Surendra Bahadur Mali from Nepali Congress (BP) received 1,605 votes. Similarly, vice-chair candidate Sethi won the election with 3,013 votes while her closest rival Indra Bahadur Mahara from UML received 1,703 votes.
Nepali Congress (BP) and UML have allied and contested against the NC in the rural municipality.
Similarly, NC also won the election in Badrikedar Rural Municipality, Doti. The chairman candidate Bhairab Bahadur Saud and vice-chair candidate Dambari Kumari Bista have won the election.
Saud received 2,343 votes, while his closest rival Chakra Bahadur Ghartimagar from UML received 1,684 votes.
Likewise, Bista received 2,407 votes while her nearest rival Sapana Sidari from UML received 2,276 votes.
The UML has won the election in two local levels of Bajhang. The chairman candidate Prakash Rokaya in Thalara Rural Municipality won the election with 2,774 votes while his closest rival independent candidate Kul Raj Joshi received 2,113 votes. Similarly, vice-chair candidate from the alliance Ram Khati of NC won the election with 3,150 votes while his nearest rival Mira Devi Rawal from the UML received 2,587 votes.
Likewise, chairman candidate from the alliance Bhagat Singh Thokare (Bohora) of CPN-MC and vice-chair candidate from alliance Debaki Devi Bohora of NC won the election in Api Himal Rural Municipality, Darchula.
Thokare received 2,304 votes while his closest rival Dharmananda Manyal from UML received 1,385 votes. Similarly, Bohora received 2,027 votes while her closest rival Urmila Bohora from UML received 1,391 votes.
Similarly, chairman candidate from alliance Daljit Dhami of CPN-MC won the election defeating Prem Singh Dhami of UML in Naugard Rural Municipality, Darchula. Daljit received 3,598 votes, while Prem Singh received 3,191 votes.
Similarly, vice-chair candidate from the alliance Jagat Singh Thagunna of NC won the election with 3,767 votes while his closest rival Gauri Devi Thagunna of UML received 2,867 votes.
The mayoral candidate Nar Singh Chaisir and deputy mayoral candidate Durga Kumari Khatri from UML have won the election in Mahakali Municipality, Darchula.
They defeated the common candidates from the alliance Hamsha Raj Bhatta and Suna Bohora.
