LALITPUR: As part of a project to rid the roadsides of the Kathmandu Valley of

risky trees, a column of trees near Pulchowk Engineering Campus in Pulchowk were felled today. According to an official at the Kathmandu Valley Town Development Committee’s (KVTDC), eucalyptus trees and peepal trees lining the roads of Koteshwore, Baluwatar, Sahid Gate, Tundikhel, Maitighar, Pulchowk, and Lainchoure, were creating nuisance to buildings and a threat to people.— HNS
