Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel said on Monday that the ruling five-party alliance would continue until provincial and federal elections.

Speaking at a programme to extend best wishes to the mayor and deputy mayor of Byas Municipality, Paudel stressed that the alliance was a must for political stability and change.

He commented that the five-party alliance was more successful than expected in the local polls. Paudel urged the newly-elected people's representatives to work as servants of people. 'Byas Municipality has infinite potential.

Thus, I request the new mayor and deputy mayor to explore the possibility in agriculture, tourism, industry and water resources and work in people's interest,' Paudel added.
