Nepal records 260 COVID-19 cases on Thursday

The national active COVID-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached at 1,171 on Thursday as 260 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 980,981while the death toll remains at 11,952 as no fatalities were recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 967,858 with 48 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 3,844 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 2,027 were PCR tests while 1,817 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 5,780,700 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 46 positive case in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 260.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are no individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
