KATHMANDU, JULY 17

Nepal slumped to eight-wicket loss to Scotland in the latest round of World Cup League Two Fixtures on Sunday.

Exploiting Nepal's poor batting form, the home side annihilated the visitors for a paltry score of 128 all out in 36 overs. Opener Aasif Sheikh top scored for Nepal with 40 runs off 58 balls.

Hamza Tahir was pick-of-the-bowler with 7.5-1-26-4. While Mark Watt picked three scalps and Gavin Main chipped in with two wickets.

In reply, the hosts registered a comprehensive eight-wicket victory with 186 balls to spare to avenge five-wicket loss suffered against Nepal four days ago, in style at Titwood park in Glasgow.

Calum MacLeod, who was adjudged man-of-the-match, made light work of the chase with blistering knock of 64 runs off just 29 deliveries including 10 fours and three maximum.

With this victory, Scotland maintain their stronghold on second position with 34 points 10 behind table topper Oman.

Meanwhile, Nepal have accumulated 17 points and trails Namibia by one points on sixth place. Papua New Guinea sit at the bottom of the table with two points.
