Nepal records 435 COVID-19 cases on Thursday

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 2,537 on Thursday as 435 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 982,719 while the death toll remains at 11,954 as no fatalities were recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 968,228 with 56 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 3,569 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,667 were PCR tests while 1,902 were antigen tests.

With this, a total of 5,793,443 PCR tests have been carried out till date. Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 118 positive cases in the past 24 hours.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.5%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
